Heather Jeffcoat, DPT, is the author of Sex Without Pain: A Self-Treatment Guide To The Sex Life You Deserve. Her tremendous success in treating vaginismus and other pelvic floor issues at her two locations in the Los Angeles area has drawn interest from around the globe, and she wrote this book so that her proven techniques would be readily available to all who needed it.
A personal journey and testimonial from one of my patients: “My husband and I were married for 5 years before we were able to have intercourse due to my vaginismus. There was nothing traumatic in my past but for some reason, even though I wanted sex, I mentally avoided "that area" of my body and didn't even admit to myself that there was a problem for a long time, even though I was never able to...
"Sex doesn't have to hurt! Whether your pain during intercourse (or your partner’s) began with a first sexual experience or after pregnancy or injury, this step-by-step guide can put you on the path to recovery, and to enjoying the sex life you deserve."
Welcome to our site! The Pilates PT is now Fusion Wellness & Physical Therapy. Why Fusion Wellness? I believe in a blend of traditional and progressive therapies to achieve optimum outcomes with my patients, utilizing evidence based physical therapy for the pelvic floor. We specialize in treating orthopaedic and women's health physical therapy diagnoses-through using manual techniques, exercise (including Pilates and Yoga), muscle re-education, patient education, biofeedback and most importantly, a commitment to the well-being of our patients that surpasses our peers. All treatments are individualized and remain 1-2 hours long (depending on complexity) with licensed physical therapists.
We were born out of the changing healthcare climate in 2009 that emphasized quantity of patient care over quality. Our patients also get the privacy of individual treatment rooms. We would never put you behind a curtain for you to tell us about your sexual pain, incontinence, or even your back pain! Our patients derserve better actual care, not just the idea of receiving care. No unlicensed personnel are EVER used, keeping our quality of care at the highest level. This blog will share our company news and educate you on what the right physical therapist can do for you. We also offer Women's Health oriented servcies within our office. You can find out more by checking out Femina PT's website here. Please check back often to stay up to date with the latest news!
Thank you for stopping by,
Heather Jeffcoat, DPT
