Take Part in a Research Study on Low Intensity Shockwave Therapy for Dyspareunia
Fusion Wellness PT is proud to be participating in a research study investigating the effectiveness of low intensity shockwave therapy for dyspareunia. This study is being conducted in partnership with The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. Our goal is to determine if low intensity shockwave therapy in addition to typical physical therapy treatment is more effective in reducing symptoms associated with dyspareunia compared to typical physical therapy treatments alone.
We are seeking participants between the ages of 21-65 who are experiencing dyspareunia (pain with intercourse and/or vaginal penetration). Participants will be enrolled in the study for about 4 months. They would be asked to attend treatment sessions 1 time per week for 4 to 6 weeks, then be available by phone for a follow-up call 3 months following treatment. Participants will benefit from receiving treatment targeted at alleviating their symptoms. To find out more information or to see if you qualify for the study, please contact us here.
