About Sarina

Sarina Karwande PT, DPT, CAFS
Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Certification in Applied Function Science
Sarina (she/her/hers) earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona CA. After graduation, she worked in a variety of settings treating all ages and working her way to specializing in pelvic floor dysfunctions. Sarina’s passion for pelvic floor physical therapy began when she was a teenager as a patient herself. After years of experiencing pelvic pain, she became an advocate among her friends, family and now her patients to find the care they need.
Since graduating she has attended specialized courses in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and courses to treat pelvic pain and dysfunction for both men and women. Most recently, she completed her certification in Applied Function Science (CAFS) to help customize treatment plans for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related injuries. Sarina is working towards completing her Pelvic Floor Level 1 course and a Pediatric Incontinence Course through Herman and Wallace.
Sarina is a part-time therapist here who also specializes in pediatric, neurological and orthopedic conditions at Shriners for Children's Medical Center. There she is a clinical instructor and developed a return to sport training program to help young athletes return safely. She hopes to expand in pediatric pelvic floor rehabilitation here at Fusion Wellness PT creating treatments using exercise-based play therapy, behavioral modification and sensory processing therapy. Sarina loves working with children of all ages and is excited to merge her two passions into one clinic.
Sarina prioritizes a manual and exercise approach with emphasis on breath and visualization exercises to assist in chronic pain. Outside of work, Sarina is found camping, hiking, and swimming laps with her local master's swim team.
