Laura(She/her/hers) is originally from Honolulu, Hawai'i, and graduated from, Santa Clara University in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology, a B.A. in Dance, and a Minor in Public Health Science She is currently a 3rd-year DPT student, in her final rotations at Mount Saint Mary's University, Where she was a Gross Anatomy teaching assistant, was elected as the Committee Chair and Social Coordinator for the Student Outreach Committee, and earned the 2023 Coleman Scholarship for Academic Excellence. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and is currently pursuing her Pilates Instructor Certification. Laura is also a former collegiate dancer and professional dance instructor who has dealt with a handful of traumatic injuries and understands the journey of holistic healing. Her goal is to give back to the community to help others realize their full potential and address health concerns surrounding mind, body, and spirit.
Her current interests include pelvic health, orthopedics/sports, dance and performing arts medicine, and neurological populations. Some of her goals after graduating include applying for a residency, pursuing a fellowship, and earning her PhD in order to teach future PT students. While she is not in the clinic or classroom, she enjoys taking dance classes, staying active by working out and hiking, spending time with her friends/family/furry friends (three guinea pigs), reading fantasy novels, going to the beach, and eating lots and lots of poke!
